A tribute is being held at the world renowned, Jazz Café on 4th April 2010, for the great Muddy Waters. Muddy was born 4 April, 1913, so what better time to pay homage to one of the greatest blues musicians in history. Muddy Waters is one of the pioneers of Blues music and one of the greatest artists of all time. His influence on music is huge, and it can be still heard in various genres including:blues, rhythm and blues, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, jazz, and country. He helped shape the careers of artists such as Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix.

Jazz Cafe have decided to use “24 Pesos”, “Marcus Bonfanti” & “Franck Ash” to help pay tribute. These artists also have been influenced by the great Muddy Waters, so they feel as though it is an honor to be asked to play some of his songs in London’s iconic Jazz Café.

This is definitely a night that any “Blues” fans would not want to miss.
In this video Muddy Waters is performing “Mannish Boy”, one of the most classic songs of all time. You may remember Nas sampling this song for his track “Bridging the Gap”.
