Q: What’s your name and where are you from?
It’s Q… no K’s no E’s, plain and simple. After P before R and always in front of U. Born in England, raised in the Philippines, engineered in London.

Q: When did you join WeAreHQ and who on the team are you connected to?
I joined… Err, I don’t actually know this but, I feel like I’m part of the furniture. you could say I joined at the right time… and as for connections, I guess I could run through them.
Ive supplied trainers to Jon, Ive cooked for Gynelle, Ive exhausted Al (no homo), I introduced Ala to Jerry, I went to school with Anil, Ive compared Jordans with Dwayne, Ive BBQ’d with Jay (goodtimes), I have been humbled by Blanch, Ive cried in laughter with Howard, Ive sat on “The SK bench” with Mag, and the rest not mentioned, im sure there will be a bag of connections were yet to establish but the main one is their and thats the fact that WeAre now family, old and new!

Q: What are you bringing to the team?
A compassion for team work a mental message to their subconscious that they are what they make themselves, and in selection ,each team member is cut from there own unique cloth. with some gentle neurchering and a crash course in optimistic realism.. the world is our oyster.. im gonna add the garnish to what is already a michelin star three course meal.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Its a surpsrise, wait and see.. And i dont think it will take that long.. :)

Q: The one thing you would do if you had unlimited resources?
I would build a giant water slide around the city.. like the Barclay card advert… But I’d stretch it over to brazil, so I could spend winters there.

Q: If you could meet anyone (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Good question, but you know what I’d rather do, I’d get Mugabe, Hitler, Stalin and Pol pot to do a celebrity death match..where the winner dies… again!

No Hangover, Duvet, Pitta Pockets and Eastenders – The Movie!

Reasonable doubt, and never looked back…”word life, I dabbled in crazy weight, without rap I was crazy straight, partna I’m still spending money from eighty-eight, what!”

Q: What’s your most treasured possession?

Q: Finish the sentence “London needs…..
… live a little,give a little,smile a lot!

BIO: Q Morgan-Kilner was born in England. He spent the first five years living 100 yards from a beach off the port of Puerta-galera in the Philipines with his parents and two sisters. In 1990 he caught a plane with family and moved to the sunny skies of London. He then spent the next twenty odd years in Shepherd Bush ,west London. He schooled at the local comprehensive and left in 2001. After a few years of friendly demarcation and exploration. He landed his first job at American Apparel, setting up and launching there first flagship store in soho. He was quick to learn and was taught many good and bad skills, not quite polished but you could say a bit of a ruff diamond.. As time passed a hunger grew which propelled him to have the courage to move on. This led him to his next step, or should I say bench…
One afternoon after deciding to quit his job. Q, met the owner of a local retailer and in fact a newly branded retailer, one like no other. It oozed character, style, finesse a sense of market and a sense of community. This is what the world would know as Slammin Kicks but to what he would call his home. He spent five of the most memorable years of his life with the brand, marked as a part of London’s heritage and and a stamping point for a new chapter the store taught him a lot and found him new family that he will soon regard as a brother. The team closed the store in 2007 and it became a good memory to a lot of the trainer scene.
As the door to SK closed another one opened. He was proposed a job at NikeiD the following week, where became senior design consultant and a highly consistent and valuable member in his new team. He spent 3 years with the brand ,travelled parts of the world, rubbed shoulders with people he would never imagined and gained by coincidence another extension to his family. Through his time till now he has learnt to stand strong when the wind is against him, embrace the sun when it is on him and never let go of something you love, “steer your reality but follow your dreams”. key skills towards his greater goal. He left at the end of 2009 and decided to follow the dream, to be continued…
